Where Can I Get It In Person? Raw Milk Cheeses from the Mountains of West Virginia. Located in the mountains of Paw Paw, West Virginia, Spring Gap Mountain Creamery has been producing raw milk cheese since 2010. All of our cheese varieties are made with raw milk from pasture-raised Jersey cows and are aged a minimum of 60 days. Our cheese can be found in several stores and restaurants and is sold every weekend at farmers markets in MD, DC and VA.
Tucker Community Foundation is a tax-exempt public charity that serves 8 counties in North Central WV and Garrett County, MD. In 2013, TCF launched the Potomac Highlands Food and Farm Initiative. A collaborative project to develop a public climbing park, create a new section of non-motorized trail, while also building an Endowed Fund to benefit local Emergency Medical Services.
If you live in one of 17 eligible counties, and are a new or existing producer, processor, aggregator or distributor of local food, you can apply for various types of technical assistance.
